Our Service:

Beechtree Community Childcare is based in The Child & Family Centre, Meile An Rí, Balgaddy. It is a new, purpose built facility opened in September 2012. We have 2 bright, spacious childcare rooms that open onto a wonderful spacious garden.

It was established to meet the needs of families in the area and also preschool childcare needs of local families.

We cater for pre-school children aged 2 years 5 months to school going age as well as providing an Afterschool service for children from Junior Infants to 1st Class.
 

Opening Hours:

We participate in the CCS scheme, providing part time day care for children aged from 2.5 years old and offer 2 sessions daily:

  • Our morning sessions runs from 8:30am – 12:15pm daily and children receive breakfast and a snack.
  • Our afternoon session runs from 12.45 noon – 4.30p.m and children receive 2 light snacks but must provide their own lunch.

We participate in the ECCE scheme and offer 2 sessional services daily.

  • Our morning session runs from 8:45am – 11.45am daily.
  • Our afternoon session runs from 12:45pm – 3:45pm.
  • Children who attend these sessions are aged between 3 and 4 years.

We also provide after school care from Junior Infants -1st Class years with collection from Divine Mercy Junior School.

  • This service runs from 1:40pm – 4:15 pm daily.

We offer places under the following schemes:

  • ECCE (Early Childhood, Care and Education)
  • CCS (Community Childcare Subvention)
  • CETS (Childcare, Education and Training Scheme)

Our Staff:

Beechtree Community Childcare is staffed by a team of 6 childcare practitioners. We have 2 Full Time, 2 Part Time and 2 Community Employment staff. All our staff are fully qualified (minimum level FETAC level 5).  

We currently have places available and we are also taking enrolments for Children wishing to start in September. Remember to check your entitlements to a free year of childcare (ECCE scheme) or reduced rates (CCS scheme) if you are in receipt of a social welfare benefit. If in doubt, contact the South Dublin County Childcare Committee, the local social welfare office, give one of our centres a call or drop in and we will do our best to advise you.
