The Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Frances Fitzgerald TD, will officially launch the establishment of Dublin West Child Care and Learning Services Ltd on Tuesday 27th March 2012 at the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel at 7.00p.m

The establishment of Dublin West Child Care and Learning Services was a merger of four Community Childcare Services located in the areas of Clondalkin and Lucan South, into one larger company with a new management structure to ensure long term sustainable. Currently long term sustainability of Community Childcare in the areas of Clondalkin and Lucan South has been identified as being at risk. There are a number of reasons for this, changes in the funding through CCS and ECCE schemes, variation of rental costs, the challenges of meeting the needs of a disadvantaged community through the delivery of Community childcare can limit opportunities for boards to plan strategically and get the most out of community childcare services to achieve change in communities experiencing disadvantage.

By creating this new company and bringing the four Community centres together, they were moving into one single management structure and one voluntary board of management, instead of four separate boards of management. Thus establishing a more centralised management and administration function, with a focus on quality development and meeting the childhood care and education needs of the local communitiesThe Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Frances Fitzgerald TD, will officially launch the establishment of Dublin West Child Care and Learning Services Ltd on Tuesday 27th March 2012 at the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel at 7.00p.m
