Dublin West St Marys

Our Service

Dublin West St. Mary's opened in late September 2016, St Mary's is a newly opened community based childcare service which is located on the grounds of St Marys National School, on Brancroft Ave, Greenhills road, Tallaght.

We have two large rooms which accommodate the children attending our pre-school and after school service. The service is ideally located for families who require afterschool care for their children who attend St Marys N.S and also an excellent choice for transition into primary school from preschool.

We are already busy enrolling for September 2017 and would like to invite families to tell us what they want from us. We are delighted to be opening more rooms to cater for the growing needs of our community.

We are currently canvassing existing & perspective families and the wider community; all we need is for you to contact us and tell us what kind of service you need. For example -  extended hours of operation and services provided i.e Before school programme.

Please contact Dublin West St Marys on 014525794 or email stmarys@dublinwestchildcare.ie to book a tour of the servcie or simply place your name and expression of interest on the waitlist.

Current Opening Hours

The service operates from 9am to 4pm daily offering morning sessions from 9am – 12pm and afterschool care until 4pm. Children can also access additional hours wraparound care after the preschool hours are finshed. The children bring their own packed lunch and we provide hot meals in the afternoon for children who attend longer hours. The children have access to a variety of snacks and fresh water throughout the day.

We offer places under the following schemes:

  • ECCE (Early Childhood, Care and Education)
  • CCS (Community Childcare Subvention)
  • CETS (Childcare, Education and Training Scheme)
  • CEC (Community Employment Childcare Programme)
  • ASCC (Afterschool Childcare Programme)
Remember to check your entitlements to a free year of childcare (ECCE scheme) or reduced rates (CCS scheme) if you are in receipt of a social welfare benefit.
If in doubt, contact the South Dublin County Childcare Committee, the local social welfare office, give one of our Centre’s a call or drop in and we will do our best to advise you. All the relevant contact numbers are in the “Contact us” section.
